Discover Thierry’s experience

In the early 90s, a group of Savéol vegetable growers noticed vine tomatoes from Sicily at Rungis. But their quality and presentation left something to be desired. We worked to develop this original idea with the research and development department. It required a powerful and generous vine with beautiful, homogeneous fruit, harvested ripe and directly packaged on site. This is how Les Branchées were born.

My father Marcel and I harvested the first Savéol on-the-vine tomatoes just 20 years ago. Tomatoes on the vine were an immediate success, so this product became widespread within a few years. This very simple and natural presentation attracted consumer support. It has also really clicked within our cooperative. The culture of innovation has taken root in the company.
